My friends constantly express my underlying strength. The deceiving point of my brute strength is coined as "old man strength". What does this mean? The term is derived as slang in the 21st century. Our fathers grew up in the world of slowly expanding technology. There was not a World Wide Web, or other technology choices. Children in this day and age grow up not allowing their muscles to progress at the rate needed for strength later in life. We coin the phrase "old man strength" because it is a fact of life. Our generation before us grew up outside, and was involved in muscle progression athletics and outdoor activities. The fun was created, not provided. They are stronger and more immune because of presence of Polio, and Scurvy in the 50s. Our fathers have chisled the muscles in their body throughout their lives. The human muscle has a endless progression that stays with us throughout life. I am lucky to have parents that instilled athletics, and outdoor fun. I grew up in Dolores. I played sports through high school, and enjoyed outdoor athletic activities. I have extremely strong forearm muscles. The bulk is not there, but the underlying strength can be deceiving. Through this contemplation, I have learned that there is more that just brute strength inside of us. I want to progress to a strength that is overall. Mind and body. Old man strength throughout.
